There are a number of tests recommended for these dogs. They should be taken annually including the time of breeding. Parent dogs should be tested for hip and elbow dysplasia. They should also have CERF certificates. The Canine Eye Registration Foundation will timely determine if the dogs used in breeding have eye problems.
